Sara Udon

Literally translated to “Dish Noodles“, Sara Udon is a staple in the Nagasaki Prefecture. Consists of a base of crispy noodles and a topping of pan-fried veggies, meat, and seafood of your choice. Serve with some vinegar for extra flavor.

  • Proteins of your choice as much as you like
  • Vegetables of Your Chioce as much as you like (Carrot, Lotus Roots, Bamboo Shoots, Snow Peas, etc)
  • Mushrooms of your choice
  • Oil for Pan Fry

Instructions

1) Add 1 package of sara udon soup base and 280ml water into a bowl. Mix well and set aside. 

2) Add 1 1/2 teaspoon of cooking oil in a skillet on medium heat. Stir fry your choice of protein and veggies until fully cooked.
Lower the heats, add soup seasoning mixture and constantly stirs until sauce thickens.

3) Place one package of crispy noodles onto a plate and gently crush the noodles.
Pour cooked toppings onto noodles.

4) Serve with vinegar if you like and enjoy!
